This ESD White Paper translates that obligation into concrete use cases, showing how qualified trust services can help prevent phishing, secure websites and data exchanges, authenticate users and organisations, protect documents and communications, support Zero Trust architectures and prepare for post-quantum cryptography. By connecting the eIDAS trust framework with real-world cybersecurity needs, ESD aims to support more effective NIS2 implementation across Europe.
